The Headlines:
Molson Coor Beverage Company is currently recruiting for the position of Facilities Maintenance Lead (with power engineering experience and certification) for our St. John's brewery. The ideal candidate for this position is a team player who possesses outstanding communications skills and has strong problem-solving abilities. The candidate, who will provide leadership of the facility maintenance program and power engineering team in support of brewery operations. This candidate will be comfortable in a fast paced, multi-tasked, consumer packaged goods environment.
The Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:

The Facilities Maintenance Lead will be responsible for:
- Brewery facilities and power engineering activities, (in conjunction with the EHS and Sustainability Manager)
- Leading all utilities-specific activities from people management to work order execution to continuous improvement actions
- Planning and managing projects: Developing and implementing maintenance plans, schedules, and budgets
- Maintaining facilities: Ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and functional
- Managing work orders: Receiving, processing, and assigning work orders to power engineers and/or contractors
- Managing supplies: Overseeing inventory and purchasing replacement parts
- Managing contractors: Hiring and supervising contractors and subcontractors from janitors to snow-clearing operators
- Performing inspections: Regularly inspecting systems and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
- Communicating: Communicating with team members, other departments, and key stakeholders about project updates, risks, and changes
- Documenting: Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and action items
- Support of capital improvement projects in the brewery
Other attributes that would be considered to be assets:
- Experience working with high-speed packaging equipment, pumps, compressors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC's is an asset
- Ability to analyze diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures, troubleshoot equipment, order parts, etc.
- Experience in CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System)
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and make quick decisions in response to any equipment downtime issues in plant specific to facilities and/or utilities
The Other Qualifications:
- 3rd Class (minimum) Power Engineering designation from the NL Apprenticeship and Trades Certification Division or Red Seal Journeymen ticket (Millwright, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic, other (to be considered)).
- 5+ years’ experience in a facilities maintenance role
- 5+ years’ experience in a power engineering role
- Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus
- Experience in an Asset Care department is a plus
