The Headlines


There is a need for a journeyman (Red Seal) millwright in the St. John’s brewery at the end of 2021 to join the team as a Packaging Operator/Relief Millwright. This role will work 40% in packaging operations and 60% in asset care.

In this role, this person will operate, clean, inspect and lubricate equipment as well as provide asset care (millwright mechanic) duties. They will aid in the optimization of all Operations functions (preventive maintenance, shut down preparation and execution, reliability studies, problem solving, focused improvement, breakdown elimination, autonomous maintenance, packaging line optimization, utilities reduction, training, etc.). The role will report to the packaging and/or asset care team leader. 


The Responsibilities: 

  • Operate packaging equipment under the guiding principles of Safety the Molson Coors Way and World Class Supply Chain.
  • Perform predictive, preventative and operational maintenance/asset care using procedures and practices common to any Red Seal journeyman millwright
  • Have experience working with high-speed packaging equipment, pumps, compressors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC's, etc.
  • Analyze diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
  • Work in a shift rotation environment with minimal supervision 



The Other Qualifications: 

  • You have your grade 12 or equivalent + Red Seal Journeyman Millwright Designation
  • You have 3-5 years’ experience in high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing
  • Dual tickets as a machinist, welder, refrigeration mechanic, etc. would be an asset but not required.
  • Forklift experience is an asset
