The Headlines:

In the role of People Development Sr. Specialist – Commercial, working in Montreal, Quebec you will be part of the America’s Learning and Development team. You will lead the design, development & execution of commercial & functional onboarding as well as, capability building, and professional development programs aligned to either the Leadership or Commercial development priorities & needs. Additionally, you will work with HR business partners, and leaders to embed capabilities and skills into the business monitoring and measuring the effectiveness and impact.


This position reports to the Director of Commercial People Development, and works closely with the 4 other Commercial PD teammates, Leadership development teammates, & the Quebec Leadership team.


The Responsibilities:

  • Program manager for development programs, including onboarding (enterprise and functional), monitoring effectiveness, and making continuous improvements to maximize learner and business impact
  • Project manager for new initiatives and innovations in leadership and people development
  • Executes against learning delivery strategies and standards to ensure quality, consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Stays current in best practices and trends for adult learning and supply chain learning & development.

Additionally, you….

  • Have an undergraduate degree or 3+ years of progressive HR and/or commercial experience
  • Fluent in both English and French Canadian – Speaking and Reading
  • ability to utilize adult learning concepts to tailor development and training programs to meet business needs
  • Have excellent communication & planning skills along with the ability to lead thinking
  • Have Strong facilitation skills
  • Embody a client service mindset, operates as a value-added business partner with a solutions orientation
  • Operates efficiently and effectively in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrates effective influence & collaboration without formal authority
  • Demonstrates curiosity and a learning aptitude to solve problems and develop self
  • Acts with urgency
  • You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments
