Role Overview:

 

The Manager Commercial Finance Consolidation & Reporting provides financial decision support to the commercial organization to optimize the profitability of the Canadian Business Unit, Molson Coors Canada (MCC), with a view of profitability drivers by region, province, channel and through optimization of financial strategies. The role is responsible for financial planning and reporting – Annual Budget, Forecasts and Month End Analysis.

 

This role is critical in support of analyses for Commercial leadership team with timely and relevant financial information related to on-going business results, ad-hoc support related to new business models, long-term business planning, and portfolio choices.

 

What You Will Be Accountable For:

  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of monthly, quarterly, and full year financial results to management in a consolidated monthly package of reports that is consistent across the sales organization. 
  • On Point to provide accurate and timely P&L’s with multiple views: Region, Brand, and Customer.
  • Analyze drivers for actual performance vs. plan or forecast and liaise directly with senior management to proactively put plans in place to achieve financial and strategic goals.
  • Ensure effective governance of financial data is provided to the sales and marketing organization – eliminate duplicate views of financials, streamline reporting, and control the level of details provided through the creation of guidelines for financial support.
  • Proactively interface with other finance groups for problem resolution and consistency – act as a single point of contact to the Sales organization for all finance issues and concerns.
  • Key liaison to FP&A team to clearly report and explain performance drivers. 
  • Ensure adherence to the company's documented financial policies and procedures

If You Have The Following…We Want To Hear From You!

  • University degree in Business / Commerce with an accounting designation or MBA
  • 5+ years of work experience within finance, preferably within CPG
  • Individual with cross financial experiences (financial accounting, management accounting, experiences in marketing environment, sales environment, supply chain environment, FP&A etc..)
  • Experience in managing a team of direct reports of varying levels and performance abilities
  • Ability to deal with change, strong and energetic leadership skills to effectively lead new initiatives across the organization, set direction and drive for results.
  • Demonstrated ability to autonomously deliver on stretch targets, utilizing strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills in order to work with, and present to all levels within the organization.
  • Attracts, engages, develops and rewards talent.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to deal with various functional levels
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; working knowledge of SAP would be an asset
