Molson Coors Beverage Company is currently seeking a Retail/Taproom Team Lead to join our team at the Brewery based in Creemore, Ontario! This role will be responsible for leading the Retail & Taproom Room and to be the on-site “go to” person. They will work closely with the Brand Homes Operations Manager to ensure all daily tasks and responsibilities are completed. Their function is to lead by example, by participating in the company’s efforts to build brand awareness, interact with customers through sampling, tours and assisting with selecting the required product and or merchandise in the Retail & Taproom environment.
- Responsible for all duties expected of a Retail & Taproom Associate
- In addition to these duties, the following will also be required of this role:
- Prepare retail schedules and manage Dayforce in the absence of the Manager
- Make sure all retail staff are familiar with procedures and responsibilities for their role
- Keep Retail daily check list accurate and up to date
- Participate in monthly staff meetings
- Reporting and inventory count of store, stockroom and additional storage areas as needed
- Request to order inventory when required & restock retail merchandise when needed
- Participate in meetings with suppliers regarding new merchandise
- Receive and manage prices and POS of all new inventory
- Work with Manager to order new items as well as reordering stock
- Assist with Direct Delivery program and service
- All other duties as assigned
Retail & Tasting Room Associate Responsibilities
- Ensure a memorable brewery experience by having exceptional product knowledge and a genuine drive to exceed the expectations of our customers in an enthusiastic manner
- Recommend, select, and help locate the right merchandise/product
- Strong product knowledge while serving samples
- Receive and process cash and charge/credit payments
- Balance sales and inventory and produce daily sales records
- Answering phones and manage customer calls in a professional manner
- Recognize and report security and safety issues
- Daily task list that includes stocking of beer and merchandise, beer and retail inventory, cleaning duties and more
- Ability to conduct tours in a friendly, knowledgeable, fun and professional manner
- Provide samples, information, and conversation in the Taproom in accordance with Smart Serve standards
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Smart Serve Certificate Required
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Must possess strong leadership and time management skills to help resolve conflicts and deal with tight timelines.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and maintain office functions while overseeing the tasks of others.
- Previous Supervisory and Retail experience considered a strong asset.
- A detail oriented, sincere, and responsible person with strong organizational skills.
- Must be friendly and courteous towards all customers and colleagues.
- Must be professional, energetic and dependable.
- Flexible schedule, weekends required
- Must be physically able to participate in some heavy lifting and manual labour
