The Headlines:
Six Pints Collective is currently seeking a Brewing Operator Technician to be part of our Brewing Team based at our Brewery in Creemore Springs, Ontario. Reporting to the Line Lead – Brewing. Creemore Springs, the role is at the heart of what the brewery is all about. It is the hard work and attention to detail at this point in the process that ensures there is beer of the highest quality, prepared in the correct amounts, within the specified timelines. Excellence in this role helps set the entire business up for success.
The Responsibilities:

Brewing: On rotating shifts, responsibilities will include following established brewhouse operating procedures in a safe and efficient manner; monitoring processes using routine QC checks to ensure product specifications are met; ability to troubleshoot when results are out of range or specification.

Cellars: Responsibilities include yeast collection and preparation for brewing requirements; preparing tanks using established cleaning and sanitizing procedures, ensuring on time availability for brewers; housekeeping of cellars work area and monitoring of required sanitation supply inventories.

Filtration: Responsibilities include following established filtration procedures to ensure proper volumes are available at appropriate times with all parameters within specified targets for packaging operations; soft maintenance of filtration equipment; and good house-keeping practices in work area.

General Maintenance: Maintaining the production areas in accordance with SOPs and other related tasks as assigned by the Line Lead – Brewing.

Within the brewing team, we have 4 tiers of Brewing Technician as follows:

Technician – entry into the brewing team; basic production requirements; limited equipment skillset.

Technician 1 – skilled operator; general production knowledge; standard level of proficiency; broader production capability.

Technician 2 – advanced operator; in-Depth mastery of daily operations, personal leadership capability, can participate in loss reduction or CI projects, can train coach and mentor others.

Technician 3 – area operator lead; execute and improve operations, actively improves KPI results; uses tools to eliminate losses, train and mentor operators, process improvements.
The Other Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required.

Must be 19 years of age or older.

3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing facility, including but not limited to breweries, be process oriented, and mechanically inclined.

Preference will be given to those candidates with a ticketed trade (i.e. Stationary Engineer or Millwright).

DZ license is considered a strong asset.

Brewing experience is an asset.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Availability to work 5 shifts per week. Weekend work will be required. Flexible schedule willing to work a variety of shifts on a 24-hour rotating schedule.
