The Headlines:    

The role of Sr. Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting and Consolidations in our Chilliwack Brewery. This job exists as one of the primary resources for the Senior Manager, Reporting & Accounting to perform all matters relating to financial reporting & consolidation.

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Preparing monthly journal entries and reconciling brewery related balance sheet accounts. 
  • Manage and oversee reconciliation of intercompany accounts monthly.
  • Produce weekly internal productivity and KPI reporting packages.
  • Assist Controller in preparing monthly reporting package including P&L, variance analysis, and YTD forecasting.
  • Oversee and coordinate the late entry process for month end close.
  • Lead quarterly internal best practices meetings with organization wide Financial Analyst team.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly accounting issues meetings with Milwaukee.
  • Oversee audit requirements and tracking deliverables with PwC and Internal audit.
  • Involved in the preparation of statutory reporting and statements for Excise Tax and Statistics Canada Surveys.
  • Ad hoc reporting and researching technical accounting issues/questions to assist our business partners as required.
  • Review all new agreements/contracts within threshold to ensure proper accounting is in place.
  • Prepare and lead spend review meetings with business partners to help control budget spend and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Assist Controller with annual budgeting process for the Brewery, liaising with other departments as required to drive budget completion.
  • Assist with other accounting areas where required.

  

The Other Qualifications:  

  

  • University Degree
  • 2 years minimum accounting experience (post university)
  • working towards CPA/CPA Designation preferred
  • Above average communication
  • Above average Excel experience
  • SAP experience preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual, English/French is an asset.
  • Relevant combination of education and work experience will be considered.
