The Headlines:


Based in the Fraser Valley Brewery, the Plant Wide Team Leader will supervising a crew of 12-16 unionized operation employees in both Brewing and Packaging departments. The plant wide team leader will lead the shift operation, supporting both Brewing and Packaging teams' continuous development to become high performing, working both at the situational and systemic level.  Lead the execution and sustainability of WCSC 2.0 efforts for the process area and teams.  This will be achieved through a process of involvement, performance management and personal Leadership.   May also lead projects for a functional area, and indirectly manage staff for projects through functional leadership. Decisions are generally tactical; implements programs, policies and procedures in area of accountability. Coordinates efforts and resources across teams to achieve shared goals. The Responsibilities

  • Operates with a focus on both quality and efficiency, guiding and monitoring team members in their adherence to WCSC 2.0 principals and processes to optimize the team's performance as measured by PQCDSM
  • Guides, develops and monitors the team to utilize WCSC 2.0 Autonomous Maintenance practices to increase equipment reliability and assure equipment runs when scheduled
  • Guides, develops and monitors the team to utilize WCSC 2.0 Focused Improvement practices in effective systemic problem solving, developing countermeasures and making solutions stick.
  • Guides, develops and monitors the team to utilize   WCSC 2.0 EH&S practices to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Effectively supports team and team members' development and performance through training, facilitation and coaching support.
  • Provides daily/ongoing direction and guidance to team members through team meetings and effective ongoing two-way communication
  • Models, encourages and facilitates the ability of team members to work effectively together, and quickly identifies and addresses team conflict in a manner that enables team members to learn from the experience.


The Other Qualifications:

  • General certificate in Packaging or Brewing  preferred or must obtain followed by Diploma in Brewing or Packaging
  • Sound process knowledge of brewing and Packaging through 5 years or more experience
  • BA/BS degree in business or technical preferred.
  • Experience supervising employees in an unionized environment is considered an asset
  • Knowledgeable on all relevant hygiene, health and safety legislation (including environmental), and on safe working procedures
  • Demonstrates leadership maturity, self-awareness, confidence and courage in adapting to the local, regional, and global needs of the business

  • Ability to work rotating shifts
