The Headlines:

In the role of Manager Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) – Supply Chain, you will be part of the Americas HR team.  You will work in our Fraser Valley Brewery and be part of the Fraser Valley Brewery Leadership team.  In this role, you will provide services and coaching on the HR strategies and processes including but not limited to organizational effectiveness and development, compensation, labor and employee relations, staffing and actively participate in the deployment of World Class Supply Chain (WCSC).  You will ensure consistency with the organization’s corporate HR philosophies, policies, and short- and long-term strategies thereby ensuring that the culture is conducive to the achievement of business goals and that an optimal working environment is created for all employees.

 

This position reports to the General Manager of Operations and works with various functions across our business, specifically Supply Chain and Brewery Operations and HR centers of excellence (COEs) in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Compensation and Benefits, Organizational Effectiveness, Talent Management, People Development, and other areas as required to support the business strategy.


 

The Responsibilities:

  • Most importantly, you will lead a team of talented colleagues and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one-on-one conversations
  • Responsible for the “World Class Supply Chain (WCSC) Organizational Pillar” activities and will drive people strategies for the Brewery to support the maturity progression of WCSC.
  • Lead the People Plan strategy for transformation projects by developing an integrated HR strategy (retention, recruitment, org structure, labor relations, change management) that contributes to a successful implementation.
  • Develop a positive working relationship with unions, ensuring open communication and the development of a common agenda for change. 
  • Promote positive labor and employee relations and engagement by being a leader in diversity and inclusion and developing strategies to ensure ongoing effective labor and employee relations and ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation.
  • Act as a strategic partner by working collaboratively, developing organizational capability, utilizing insights, and providing thought leadership to specialist groups.
  • Lead and ensure full use of integrated people management processes to grow talent, drive performance, and improve employee engagement.

  • You have a university degree in business, human resources, or related area or equivalent experience (four + years)
  • You have a minimum of five years of experience as an HR generalist, ideally from a tier-one organization within consumer-packaged goods or manufacturing.
  • Your knowledge of employment standards legislation and progressive HR policies and practices is unsurpassed.
  • You have practical experience in a unionized environment including collective bargaining.
  • You have experience working in a matrix organization where you lead cross-functional teams to a common goal without direct reporting authority.
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of business priorities. 
  • You act with appropriate urgency to various operational demands that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy. You can provide strategic guidance as well as roll up your sleeves and complete day-to-day operational activities.
  • You are a self-motivated and proactive individual with a demonstrated ability to influence change by taking an analytical and practical approach.
  • You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome.  
  • You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments.  
  • You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow.
