Title:  Fraser Valley-Full-time Packaging Specialist- Process Lead

In the role of Packaging Specialist-Process Lead working in Fraser Valley Brewery, British Columbia, you will be part of the Packaging Team. The Packaging Specialist Process Lead is expected to do trouble-shooting for Packaging process and equipment and develop the operating teams’ technical understanding and mastery of process control.  The successful candidate is the Centerline and Changeover DMS owner for the Packaging lines in our FVB brewery.


This position is part of Packaging Line Trio and reports to Packaging Area Manager. This position will work closely with the other Line trio, Team Leaders, operators, and trades.


The Responsibilities:

  • Leads root cause problem solving on key chronic losses for the equipment and process in Packaging department
  • Owns the Centerline Management system for lines in the department, including all data analysis, management of targets and documents standards, health checks, training and
  • Coaches others on Centerline and Changeover execution
  • Owns integrity of Efficiency improvement Tool Systems (EIT)
  • Analyzes data to identify top 3 stops and possible causes during Direction Setting meetings and prioritize loss elimination opportunities
  • Coaches teams on problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • Develops control strategies to enable operators to respond to out-of-control   situations
  • Is responsible for the escalation of systemic / strategic issues / recommendations 



The Other Qualifications:  

  • Possess a proven track record of achievement in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Engineering, Science or Business (preferably a six-sigma certification) with a minimum of 3-5 years directly related experience leading line operations.
  • Manufacturing Supervision (People Leadership) a must
  • Experience employing data analysis methodologies, Autonomous Maintenance; CIL, Centerline, Change Over (SMED) and Continuous Improvement Process & Methodologies
  • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development
