The Headlines

 

In the role of Manager, Strategic Revenue Management you will be part of the Revenue Management Team. You will support Revenue Operation Management for Western Canada, leading Customer specific strategic plans in partnership with crossfunctional teams to drive topline growth and profit maximization across the business unit. Through fact based analytics, you will  provide ongoing startegic direction in order to optimize price, promotion and assortment by customers and channel. Revenue management is a powerful strategic lever that supports the business unit in its competitive efforts in the Canadian Market.

 

This position reports to Anne Hogan (Senior Manager, Revenue Management Operations) and works closely with the Western sales, finance, channel marketing and category solutions teams to drive holistic recommendations. The position can be based in either Toronto or Calgary.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support strategic decisions and recommendations to drive Net Sales Revenue.
  • Drive category & channel strategy for Western Canada using fact-based Price, Promo and Assortment recommendations that are grounded in customer, category and shopper insights.
  • Partner with the Promotional Optimization team to evaluate customer & channel specific post-promotion findings & recommend consequent updates on strategy.
  • Define and articulate the role of pricing and promotion within the assigned category, grounded in consumer and shopper insights.
  • Evaluate competitor pricing strategies and analyze the impact to Molson brands, developing recommendations to address business impacts.
  • Lead recommendations & secure decisions on Ad Hoc price analysis, including:
    • Proactively identifying opportunities for Revenue
    • Price & Volume impact analysis leveraging different elasticity factors (e.g., primary product, cross-product, cross-customer) or econometric tools and their application to business problems
    • Where needed, create analytical models for pricing scenarios
  • Support pricing related elements of the Annual Planning Process including channel or customer assortment, everyday price & promotional activity. Own accurate updates to price elements of materials for Revenue Management teams and assist with pricing related customer sell-in stories when needed.

  • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development
  • You have 7+ years' progressive commercial experience in trade marketing, finance, or strategy.
  • You have demonstrated success in unearthing insights and turning them into actionable recommendations in the areas of price/promo and mix analytics.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or another analytical discipline.
