The Headlines:  

In the role of Manager, Tax Reporting and Technology working in Milwaukee, you will coordinate with the Director of Global Tax Reporting & Compliance to ensure the consolidation of the global income tax provision for US and International operations and both SEC reporting and AOP forecasting are completed timely and accurately. You will be the company subject matter expert related to Tax Technologies and will engage the global tax teams to provide training and development, as well as lead process improvements relating to tax software. This role will also be responsible for leading the SOX controls verification and support related to the tax provision process.


You will report directly to our Director of Global Tax Reporting & Compliance and will work closely with other members of the broader tax team, corporate finance, and other internal and external stakeholders.


The Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Global reporting of income taxes pursuant to US GAAP principles under ASC740
  • Responsible for working with the Director, Tax Reporting to set global standards with business units, communicate implications of SEC and FASB pronouncements, as well as lead communicating, planning, and negotiating reporting strategies with business units, global controller, external auditors, and MCBC senior management
  • Lead the use of Tax technologies to leverage existing software and enhance capabilities through in-house training
  • Responsible for proactively pursuing options to move existing software platforms to newer versions
  • Coordinate with global tax segments to identify areas where tax technologies could improve their processes and/or reporting accuracy and timeliness     
  • Manage special projects aimed at promoting the integrity of the income tax provision process


The Other Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or Accounting; Master’s in taxation, LLM-Taxation, CPA, or PhD in Economics highly desirable
  • You have at least 6 years of relevant tax department experience, including experience with large, multinational corporations and US domestic and international tax compliance and financial reporting
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles – GAAP
  • SAP knowledge, Corptax experience, Vertex tax compliance, fixed asset system knowledge are a plus 
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and financial and tax accounting principles
  • You can interact effectively with peers to identify issues, build consensus, and provide direction while maintaining a balance between technical and interpersonal skills
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of priorities.   
  • You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent relationships
