  The Headlines:

       The role of Operations Intern working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, you will be part of the Integrated Supply Chain team. The position will be located in our Brewing, Packaging, Customer Service (Supply Chain,) or Tehnical Services departments to help the brewery and company meet their overall goals through implementation of successful projects. These projects will include designing, planning, organizing, scheduling, and leading projects in the brewery utilizing project management principles as well as technical expertise.


       This position will report to a Unit Manager or Department Leader to be determined at time of hire, and will work closely with operating engineers, process leaders, line leaders, unit managers, and other brewery staff dependant on project work.


  The Responsibilities:

·         Possess mechanical abilities and interpersonal skills to function effectively within the assigned team (brewing, packaging, and/or shipping)

·         Serve as a resource to help support high-level technical issues within the brewery

·         Interested in gaining an understanding of a manufacturing environment from an operational improvement and project management perspective

·         Work with brewery teams on a variety of focus, which could include but is not limited to the following: reducing extract losses; quality improvement projects with a focus in hygiene; improving line efficiency; improving waste performance through loss reduction; inventory and space planning/optimization; performance tracking; focus on run to schedule and loaded compliance; assist in the development of project justifications; implementation of small plan projects from start to finish; environmental optimization initiatives (to be determined based on background and placement)


  The Other Qualifications:

·         You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

·         You are confident and competent, through in your work making sure to work with a high level of safety and quality focus, and take pride in your work.

·         You are a skilled communicator who will talk to the team about all matters pertaining to the overall operation and function of the equipment you work on.

·         You are 21 years of age or older at time of internship start and are a current Junior, Senior, or Graduate student working on the following degrees: Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical;) Food Science, Microbiology, or Supply Chain

·         You are able to work 40 hours a week during the summer; internship expected to run from mid-May to mid-August

·         As part of the recruitment process, the candidates will be required to provide consent to complete a criminal background check (if locally applicable.)
