The Headlines

In the role of Manager, Accounting and Reporting, working in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office, you will be part of the VP Assistant Controller’s team, specifically directing and managing the resources andprocesses for our North America business’ accounting activities. 

This position reports to the Sr Manager, Accounting and Reporting North America and works closely with our North America Finance organization to ensure sound financial accounting processes for the business segment and to support the month-end close processes. You will also work closely with our Global Consolidation, Global Technical Accounting and SEC reporting, and cross-functional teams supporting business process changes focusing on general ledger impacts to North America.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Manages the month end financial close process for the North America  business unit and ensures sound financial accounting
  • Directs and manages team resources for specific accounting activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Directs and ensures financial integrity of financial information incorporated in the global consolidation and external reporting processes for the North America business unit
  • Monitors, analyzes and assesses the impact of initiatives, proposals, and changes to accounting and reporting rules by the standard setters
  • Participates in and contributes to special projects, enhancements, business process changes, and accounting changes as it relates to general ledger activity
  • Develops and grows three direct reports by providing talent management leadership and strong capability development

 

The Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or other relative 4-year degree; CPA preferred
  • 7+years of progressive Finance or Accounting experience; prior management experience preferred
  • Skilled in using a variety of software and tools, including Microsoft Excel; prior experience using SAP and BPC strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and capability to provide talent management leadership to help team achieve success
  • Builds and maintains relationships through collaboration, and strong communications skills (both written and verbal)
  • Demonstrates effective influence & collaboration without formal authority
  • Detail oriented with critical focus on producing quality results and can translate technical accounting principles into simple processes and business solutions
  • Demonstrates objectivity, resilience, and flexibility to manage strategic & complex financial issues;  assesses situations and provide an objective, non-biased point of view
