The Headlines


In the role of a Garage Mechanic working at the Coors Brewery in Golden Colorado you will be part of the technical services department in facilities operations.  


This position reports to our process leaders and works closely with our logistics team.


The Responsibilities:

  • The garage mechanic works on our locomotives and heavy duty tractors that are used by XPO to haul product and supplies throughout the valley (locomotives & trucks) and CDC (trucks only).
  • The mechanic is responsible for the diagnoses and repairs including preventative maintenance. For locomotives, this includes air systems, electrical systems (600v system DC, 64v system DC, 12v system DC), brake systems and engine repair.
  • For heavy duty trucks, this includes repairs to air & hydraulic lines, tires, warranty procedures, driveline, steering, suspension, electrical and AC refrigeration.
  • The individual must perform this work safely and ensure the equipment can withstand the heavy workload that is required of them.
  • The primary role for this mechanic will be for locomotives, with heavy duty truck work performed on an as needed basis.

The Other Qualifications –

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to perform all duties of a heavy equipment mechanic
  • Journeyman heavy equipment mechanic
  • CDL license preferred
  • You are at least 21 years of age
  • As part of the recruitment process, the candidates will be required to provide consent to complete a background check
