The Headlines:  

In the role of Senior Specialist Facilities working in Golden you will be part of the Facilities Team in Brewery Operations. The Senior Specialist Facilities Lead performs a variety of assignments covering maintenance tasks, project management tasks and providing guidance for contractor teams on short and long term work


This position reports to the Sr. Process Leader– Facilities


The Responsibilities:  


  • Role provides direction to 10 to 20 contractor teams consisting at any time of 200 to 100 team members executing work on a day to day basis.
  • Takes the lead role in designing, project managing, modifying, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting new and existing facility systems in accordance with the State and Federal Codes
  • Must be able to make non-management decisions, This includes the following areas of focus but is not limited to – roofing, elevators, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, underground utilities, machine shop, valve repair, sump pump systems, ground water sumps, structural welding, mold remediation, underground piping replacement/repairs
  • Knows when to coordinate with Professional Engineers, management and specialty firms to accomplish complex tasks across several disciplines required to solve problems.
  • Troubleshoots and repair new and existing facility systems in accordance with the NEC requirements, Building Mechanical codes, ASME and other State/Federal including NFPA70e regulatory codes through diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturers and engineering specifications to meet design criteria.
  •  Coordinates and schedule plant outages through Valley Management to assure timely execution of work with minimal production impacts.
  • Oversees and coordinate with the appropriate parties that all safety and environmental issues are met on both lock out, tag out or try out procedures, asbestos mitigation, mold mitigation, lead paint mitigation and confined space entry permits.
  • Having a good background in OSHA, EPA, State Law/Rules and company safety policies and is responsible for maintain a safe environment on the overall project.
  • Responsible for all environmentally controlled chemicals on the job and takes steps for proper disposal or assures proper disposal through the internal or external teams.


The Other Qualifications  


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Related work experience: Progressive craft or facilities technical skills through growth progression
  • Prefer to have a trade school certification or 2-year associates degree in a craft or technical field
  • Must have good communication skills in both oral and written, basic computer skill is required
  • Multi-craft skills are preferred in mechanical, electrical, facilities or related technical fields
  • AutoCAD or MicroStation drafting software knowledge
  • Certified Welding Inspector not required but preferred
  • Basic construction surveying skills preferred
  • Basic construction knowledge
