The Headlines

 

In the role of a Safety and Environmantal Waste Coordinator working at the Coors Brewery in Golden Colorado you will be part of the safety Team.. You will be responsible for playing an important role in ensuring our operations stays in compliance with federal, state and OSHA regulations.

 

This position reports to our safety manager and works closely with our teams in brewing and operations.

 

The Responsibilities:

 

Provides assistance and guidance for the facility’s safety education, enforcement, engineering, behavior and cultural focus.   Promotes and maintains MillerCoors’ safety policies, procedures and accident prevention programs for the purpose of prevention of injuries, property damage, chemical incidents and near misses.    Develops tools and systems to deliver and improve safety performance.  Leads and guides teams focused on specific safety issues. Supports the safety culture process.

  • Assists in the development, implementation and communication of safety programs, policies and procedures
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with all safety regulatory requirements
  • Maintains company safety policies and incident prevention programs for the purpose of prevention of injuries and near misses
  • Coaches and facilitates support to teams to assist in achievement of safety related goals
  • Supports team performance and employee engagement

 

The Other Qualifications –

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in manufacturing leading and improving safety performance and regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other applicable safety and health national industry standards. 
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees in safe work practices, procedures and the like.
  • Multiple department experience and/or sufficient working knowledge to represent multiple departments.  Must be able to assess and propose solutions for hazard elimination and workpractice improvements.
  • Previous Safety starpoint experience, Safety culture team experience, HazMat team experience or the like preferred.
  • Basic computer program knowledge (e.g.:  word, excel, powerpoint)
  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Must be over the age of 21
