The Headlines:

Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate technological support and technical information between production, maintenance, and engineering on defined assignments.
Must understand and diagnose data from diverse and complex mechanical and electrical systems in process, packaging, facility and utility departments.
Support Plant Engineering with technological leadership and apply technical skills to new and existing equipment and processes.
Provide timely, cost effective, and state of the art solutions to production and maintenance problems.


The Responsibilities:  

 

  • Be able to challenge Engineering and Project Teams on design. 

  • Assist our maintenance teams with design modifications where necessary in order to improve our operating efficiencies with safety and quality as a priority in mind. 

  • Ability to train the maintenance team. 

  • Have strong communication skills with a very high level of competency that can be respected by our current maintenance team. 

  • Have patience in order to train all levels of maintenance craft and operation specialists  Able to interface with all levels of leadership in a professional manner. 

  • Performs all work in a safe manner demonstrating proper use of safety equipment at all time.

  • Performs set-up, adjustment, timing, troubleshooting, replacement of equipment following Asset CARE methodology.

  • Contributes to a work place by performing all tasks in accordance with NFPA70E, OSHA, EPA, FDA, Lock Out/Tag Out/Try Out safety rules, codes, policies and regulations and Confined Entry policies.

  • Contributes to customer satisfaction.

  • Works as a self-motivated individual with minimal supervision.

  • Works to Design out Maintenance where applicable as well as driving towards improving equipment reliability through proper maintenance procedures.

  • Works to reduce unplanned downtime by working with the Maintenance Leads (Planners) to make necessary improvements in equipment.

  • Uses data and specific procedures to determine Root-cause failure and strives to correct the problem versus the symptom. Documents all work in CMMS – SAP on a timely basis.

     

 

The Other Qualifications:  

 

  • Must be competent and able to work closely with Project Teams and Engineering Teams to ensure that we are working towards our company standards.  This role is critical towards ensuring that we continue to set up equipment in a way that is aligned with our current equipment and can be maintained by the pkg maintenance teams. 

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem solve for high speed packaging equipment.  Ability to get into PLC logic and make modifications to optimize programs for improved line performance. 

  • Must be able to read and understand in great deal all forms of equipment manuals and drawings.

  • Must have the necessary experience, aptitude, and education to perform duties such as set-up, adjustment, troubleshooting, P.M. inspections, overhaul and make equipment improvements when necessary. Assist in the training of new employees and trainees.

Job Posting Hourly Rate: $45.07
