The Headlines:

In the role of General Manager, Wine & Spirits, you will be a part of Molson Coors Beverage Company’s Next Generation Beverage Team in Emerging Growth. The role is responsible for developing MCBC’s wine and spirits strategy and Long Range Plan moving forward. Likewise, this role will align the business and execute the plan with key stakeholders as quickly as possible to commercialize and scale initiatives.

 

The position reports directly to our VP Next Generation Beverages and collaborates with a variety of other business stakeholders including: Supply Chain to create alternate RTMs; Mergers & Acquisitions on future growth opportunities; and Molson Coors Distributor Development team.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the strategy and execution plan to deliver the strategy; this will include working with the Innovation Team when necessary
  • Responsible for brand development and management, including owning the relationships with agencies and possibly working with brand owners (i.e. craft partners, core brands)
  • Work with the M&A  team on selecting M&A targets and managing negotiations and oversight of the M&A business
  • Launch the wine and/or spirits business via a grow, borrow, and/or buy strategy
  • Determinate alternate RTMs
  • Educate the business on wine & spirits and how it plays in the priority of the business.

 

The Qualifications:

  • You have a 4-year degree in a relevant field
  • You have 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the wine and/or spirts space
  • You have experience in managing M&A integration and overseeing new product development
  • You have the ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • You are a skilled communicator, influencer, and your interpersonal capabilities are strong.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thought leadership, and resilience and flexibility to manage complex organizational issues.
  • You are a proven leader who had experience with P&L operating budget management and influencing others.
  • You are willing to challenge the expected/norms and embrace discomfort in a rapidly changing market
