Coors Distributing Company (CDC) is one of the nation’s leading beer distributors based out of Denver, CO. We are the critical link between our brewery suppliers that produce the beer and the retail outlets where they are sold, as well as the restaurants and bars where they are consumed. The Headlines: 
In the role of Marketing Specialist working in Denver, CO you will be part of the Marketing team. This person interacts with sales, brand managers, marketing services, procurement, and suppliers to develop and activate local programming. This individual will also perform a range of support duties related to the daily operations of the marketing department.

 

This position reports to the Director of Marketing and works closely with the Marketing and Sales groups, and external suppliers.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Works in tandem with the Marketing Team and brewery partners to develop/extend key consumer and retail programs, tools, and POS into the different classes of trade
  • Develops sales tools, communication tools, and marketing collateral materials to support key marketing and sales initiatives
  • Partners with Marketing Director, Brand Managers, and Brewery Partners to activate sponsorships, media buys, and added value where relevant
  • Seeks regular input from the sales team in order to identify gaps in support tools and works with marketing team to create solutions
  • Collaborates with Sales and Marketing Team on Key Account Planning and Activation; responsible for tracking key account budgets, and for working with sales to effectively manage budgets below plan. Assists with major key account and retailer presentations
  • Coordinates the activation of key sponsorships and media programming within assigned accounts where appropriate
  • Assists with key retailer meetings and presentation development; works with brand managers during the ABP process to outline annual plans and budgets for assigned accounts

 

The Other Qualifications: 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; required
  • You have 1-3 years of Marketing or related experience
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • You have a high level of personal accountability/results orientation
  • You are detail oriented and can balance a variety of priorities
  • You have intermediate Microsoft experience (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • You are an expert in beer and brewing processes – Cicerone certification (or desire to achieve certification) preferred
  • You have experience building retail programming; preferred
  • You have experience in the beer business; preferred
  • You have experience with event coordination/activation; preferred
