Coors Distributing Company (CDC) is one of the nation’s leading beer distributors based out of Denver, CO. We are the critical link between our brewery suppliers that produce the beer and the retail outlets where they are sold, as well as the restaurants and bars where they are consumed. The Headlines:  

In the role of Continuous Improvement Specialist working in Denver, CO you will be part of the Operations team. The person will identify opportunities to create efficiencies and drive productivity within the Warehouse function. Utilizing data to develop and implement new processes. 

 

This position reports to Sr. Operations Manager and works closely with the warehouse team.  

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and execute projects designed to improve processes within the Warehouse function. Assist and support the workflow and lean manufacturing processes for the Warehouse team. 

  • Analyze current productions methods using lean manufacturing principles; benchmarks and forms. 

  • Assist production staff with the implementation of the single-piece-flow work-cells to meet daily product demand; with minimal staffing required. 

  • Provide consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve efficiency; assist in developing process improvement policies and infrastructure. 

  • Conduct time studies for all Warehouse processes, including replenishment, repack returned beer, trailer loading/unloading, and staging. 

  • Identify process improvements to ensure the safety of employees. 

 

The Other Qualifications:  

  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.  You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy     

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in business or another related field. 

  • You have at least 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment. 

  • You are skilled at using computer programs (i.e., Excel), and software including VIP, VPS, and web-based applications. 

  • You are deadly serious about results, and take pride in a proven track record in delivering.
