The Headlines:  

In the role of Accounting Intern  in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, you will be responsible for working with the brewery to ensure accurate financial records, perpetual inventory, and inventory with billings. This position reports to the Finance Manager, and works closely with finance and administrative staff, as well as brewery leadership.


The Responsibilities:

  • Compile, analyse, and display monthly financial data
  • Assist with the monthly closing process on a monthly basis, specifically the organization and verification fo the balance sheet accounts, as well as monthly journal entries
  • Assist with the budgeting process, including fixed and variable expenses, as well as setting up and preparing cost standards
  • Work on special projects assigned throughout the internship, such as investigating reconciliation problems and updating payroll files
  • Utilize SAP and high functions within Excel and other Microsoft Office applications


The Other Qualifications  

  • You are serious about delivering results, and take pride in a proven track record in delivering
  • You are a self-starter with experience in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in advanced functions and formulas within Excel (v/h-lookups, nested if statements, sumifs, and pivot tables)
  • Experience within an SAP system environment would be a plus
  • You are able to work part time during the year-round internship until graduation; this internship requires candidates to work part-time while school is in session, and full-=time during winter and summer breaks
    • Leinenkugel’s is flexible and willing to work around class schedules
  • You have completed entry level accounting courses, while candidates who have completed and/or are pursuing higher level accounting or IS coursework is strongly preferred
