The Headlines:   

In the role of Sr. Director – Creative Services working in Chicago, IL you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision for our Strategic Marketing Agency Model and Internal Marketing Agency resource for Molson Coors NA with an influence on Global Brands.


The role is one of influence and evangelism, so it’s important that this person is able to form strong relationships throughout Molson Coors and with key external agency partner leadership.


This person is responsible for leading an internal agency (creative studio) team and the execution of marketing creative assets proliferation. In addition, this person will lead our NA agency roster strategy and model optimization with an enterprise mindset


This position reports to the VP of Media & Consumer Engagement.


The Responsibilities:  

  • Partnering with brands to develop their creative implementation needs, adding strategic value and ensuring that they get the best results from the whole agency team
  • Leading cross-capability teams to deliver creative thinking and powerful ideas that meet brand objectives
  • Fostering an environment of partnership with other capabilities (e.g., Brand Strategy, Integrated Production)
  • Demonstrating strong collaboration skills with internal teams, using internal agency resources to effectively and seamlessly support brand business needs
  • Stewardship of work by creative specialists and social community management to ensure work delivers against strategy
  • Provide rigor in benchmarking and fee analysis to drive more cost efficiency and effectiveness of our agency resources across the MillerCoors portfolio of brands
  • Oversight to Agency performance, quarterly and annually, that ensures optimal utilization and score carding that calibrates agency performance against core set of evaluation criteria
  • Manage the agency review and selection process from identifying prospective agencies, to final selection, and onboarding
  • Lead annual scoping process by partnering with marketing business leaders including stringent staffing plan analysis, fee negotiation, and outline annual business requirements


The Other Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of account management/agency/design management experience
  • Like experience within a blue-chip consumer goods company
  • A passion for problem solving, production and relationship management
  • Experience working on large global brands & integrated campaigns across various media channels
  • A background in advertising, design or marketing
  • The ability to plan and strategize at a senior level
  • Digitally fluent, with an understanding of the complex, fragmented media landscape and how to bring together cohesive programs and drive results for brands
  • An appreciation for how great work gets done and a commitment to ensuring creative excellence/output
  • Familiarity with Data Management Platforms (DMP) and their use, experience in execution preferred
  • Demonstration of thought leadership by taking prudent risks individually and through the team.
