The Headlines:

In the role of Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions located in Chicago, you will be a part of Molson Coors Beverage Company’s Mergers & Acquisitions Team in Emerging Growth. The role is responsible for preparing in-depth analysis of target’s financial statements, analyzing and conducting due diligence on potential targets, and partnering with various functions to support acquisition.

 

The position reports directly to our Director of Mergers & Acquisitions and works closely with a variety of teams, including commercial business, finance, supply chain, tax, and legal. The position also works in connection with finance to determine return thresholds including but not limited to PACC, ROIC, and EPS impacts, and assists with legal, banking, HR, and other areas critical to closing transactions.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Partnership diligence and integration across a wide range of functions to support the business needs on acquisition
  • Analyze target company data to identify historical and projected financial and operating trends, quality of earnings, and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks which impact valuation and negotiation of the target company
  • Identify post-acquisition action steps to achieve anticipated earnings/cash flow improvements
  • Development and execution of tracking methodologies to track acquired company’s progress against business case performance expectations
  • Support the development and alignment around key strategic projects highlighting objectives and financial targets, where we play, how we will win, and the capabilities and initiatives required to get there

 

The Qualifications:

  • You have a 4-year degree in a relevant field
  • You have 5+ years of applicable work experience, including four years of experience in one of the following: accounting, transaction advisory, financial due diligence, or transaction experience (investment banking, corporate development, or private equity)
  • You have experience with both building financial models and due diligence and project management (including planning, organization, coordinating, and managing colleagues, clients, and/or partners toward the successful completion of a project)
  • You have experience in managing M&A integration and overseeing new product development
  • You are willing to challenge the expected/norms and embrace discomfort in a rapidly changing market
