Senior Accountant & Treasury Specialist

Based:  Sofia, Bulgaria

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Direct reports: No

 

What you will do:

 

Provide full support in preparing statutory company reports, US GAAP books, and submissions to local statistical authorities, ensure SOX compliance, update financial procedures while supporting broader business process improvements, and prepare Direct Cash Flow forecasts in collaboration with Business and GBS. Maintains timely and accurate communication with banks, ensuring smooth information exchange and proper alignment with financial reporting and control requirements.

 

 

  • Supports accounting processes, policy compliance, and updates of process maps.
  • Acts as company contact with banks; supports corporate credit cards and bank guarantees.
  • Prepares weekly rolling direct cash flow forecasts.
  • Coordinates payments with Business and GBS, including exceptions to standard payment policies.
  • Prepares and submits SAP entries and provisions; reviews manual SAP postings.
  • Participates in statutory audits and prepares the annual financial statutory report.
  • Supports annual tax return preparation and periodic regulatory reporting.
  • Prepares SAFT reporting in line with company processes.
  • Coordinates Business and GBS for internal and external audits.
  • Supports balance sheet reconciliation reviews.
  • Prepares adhoc reports and analyses.
  • Approves invoices in Ariba as BG technical account reviewer.
  • Supports and participates in periodic inventory stock takes.

  • Bachelor/Master’s in accounting or Corporate Finance.
  • Professional experience in finance/accounting in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting rules and processes.
  • Able to work with statistical and financial analysis tools.
  • Skilled at constructively challenging leadership to drive better outcomes.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of the IFRS. Good knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge in ERP systems, SAP, Excel, Word etc.
