Demand Planning Specialist with focus on the Czech market

 

Based:  Prague, Czech Republic

Reports to: Business Ops Planning Director, CEE

 

Why this role is important for our organization?

You will be responsible for supporting the creation of consensus demand forecast for the Czech market by aggregating various inputs from across the organization.

The role collaborates proactively with Marketing, Sales, Customer Excellence, Supply planning and broader supply chain teams to ensure product availability and meet required service to customers.

 

What you will do:

  • Contributes to forecasting data model accuracy by embedding all data sources in the model. Proactively investigates additional options to improve the model.
  • Transforms baseline demand plan into unconstrained demand forecast by enriching the models with promo plans. Elaborates further analysis in support of her/his recommendations/explanations of proposed predictive models.
  • Plays an important role in communication between Marketing, Sales, Customer Excellence, Customer Service, and the entire Supply Planning team making sure relevant information is shared on time. Works along Innovations and Brands team on the new products launches and supports them in developing new product forecasts and ramp up scenarios.
  • Contributes on consensus demand creation by attending consensus demand meetings with key stakeholders and agreeing on the volume.
  • Identifies gaps between the budgeted volume and unconstrained demand plan and provides data and recommendations to Sales and Customer Excellence for Gap closing initiatives. Assists Supply planning in closing gaps between unconstrained demand and constraint supply plan.
  • Provides forecast accuracy and error analysis to support further improvement of forecasting model and bias reduction leading to increase in OTIF and other metrics.
  • Drives culture of continuous improvement by reviewing and implementing best practice forecasting and demand planning processes.

  • University degree as a plus or relevant experience in logistics, supply chain management, economics, or business administration.
  • Fluent in Czech and English – both verbal & written.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power point.
  • Comprehensive understanding of how different functions within the business collectively integrate and interact with the function. Basic understanding of the industry sector is required.
  • Persuasive and influential communicator with the ability to effectively interact in a cross-functional environment with all levels of management.
  • Easy-going, communicative, creative, positive, pro-active, accountable and trustworthy person.
