Utilities Lead

Based:  Haskovo, Bulgaria

Reports to:  Brewing and Utilities Manager

Direct reports: 10-20

 

The Utilities Lead is responsible for implementation and optimization of all relevant energy and fluids production processes (Water production and treatment, Waste water treatment, Boiler room, Cooling plant, CO2 processing and compressed air production). He/she manages and proactively improves results to achieve Compelling Business Need (CBN) and main action plan through strict application of WCSC 2.0 methods/tools.

Utilities Lead is responsible for utilities facilities and for managing and coaching of the function team.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Production, distribution and consumption monitoring of the needed amount of energy generating products and fluids of the proscribed quality and with minimum costs. Proposal of corrective actions to departments (Brewing, Packaging) in case of increased consumption of E&F.
  • Develops, monitors and introduces systems and processes to improve efficiency and quality and achieve results through eliminating all forms of deficiencies. Assists the VOP (Value Optimisation Process) and CAPEX projects of the department.
  • Follows up E&F results and participates in meetings from Maintenance and Production according to the meeting schedule.
  • Coach and mentor team to deliver E&F KPIs the right way, aligned with local legislation and internal standards. Responsible for review of monthly results and compliance with the master plan.
  • Detecting technical problems and coordinating maintenance tasks and preventive maintenance activities of the Utilities facilities (including WWTP), as well as removal of malfunctions in such a manner that the same do not prevent the continuity of the production.
  • Cooperation with quality control team in monitoring of physico-chemical and microbiological parameters, undertaking corrective actions as necessary, and analyzing the causes of deviations in Utilities facilities (WTP, WWTP)
  • Reviews laboratory data on sewage flow and sludge to maintain the WW Treatment Plant within compliance with the operational guidelines and discharge limits established.
  • Develops, monitors and embeds systems and processes to optimize efficiency, quality and delivery through the removal of waste in all forms.
  • Monitors and conducts environmental investigations relating to the operations of WWT Plant, making recommendations and implementing environmental regulatory compliance actions as necessary.
  • Communicates with regulatory and other outside agencies concerning operations compliance of the utilities facilities.

 

If you have the following  we want to hear from you!

  • College or University degree, preferably in Operations, Engineering, Science or Business – Faculty of mechanical engineering.
  • MS office (Excel, Power point, Outlook).
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • 3-5 years operations supervisory experience.
  • Understanding of the Energy & Fluid department  processes
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and prioritization skills.
