The Headlines:  
In the role of
Procurement Analyst in Milwaukee, WI, you will be part of the Metal Packaging procurement team; this role is responsible for:

  • Supporting Metal Packaging Category and Supply Managers in their sourcing and supply initiatives;
  • Requesting and managing data for metal packaging categories from material creation to contract execution in MCBC systems;
  • Work directly with suppliers to ensure policies and processes are followed for MCBC transactional requirements;
  • Support strategic category initiatives with suppliers and stakeholders and;
  • Complete project work as assigned

 
This position reports to
Sr. Category Manager, Cans and works closely with cross functional teams and supplier partners.

 

The Responsibilities: 

 

Accounts Payable Issues Resolution

  • First point of Procurement escalation for all metal packaging supplier Accounts Payable discrepancies for US and Canada;
  • Ensure suppliers and stakeholders are adhering to MCBC processes and procedures;
  • Identify process gaps within P2P process and suggest continuous improvement opportunities

 

Supplier Coordination

  • Process ZPCK and FLOW tasks for new PINs for US and Canada
  • Work with metal packaging category owners to provide input on supplier performance for Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Manage art approval letters for US
  • Liason between MCBC and supplier on EDI, ERS and Supply Chain Finance set up
  • Process reconciliations and supplier rebates for all metal packaging categories

 

Category Focus

  • Have a complete understanding of all metal packaging categories including but not limited to overall sourcing strategy, strategic suppliers and key stakeholders
  • Manage metal packaging spend data including spend by cost driver, impacts of changes in the category as well as develop and maintain file that supports LRP and AOP financial inputs
  • Support metal packaging category owners on innovation initiatives including attending product launch meetings, coordinating samples and trial material requests as well as provide pricing analysis and feedback
  • Support cansheet scrap process
  • Project work for metal packaging categories as needed

 

System Management

  • Create new SAP contracts annually and update pricing in US and Canada for all metal packaging categories
  • Coordinate and provide appropriate support to Global Business Services (GBS) to enable contract creation, adding  new suppliers and maintain contract files.
  • Lead year-end process to ensure contract SAP contract set up is completed succesfully
  • Audit systems to ensure proper setup for contracts (Prices, terms, etc.) and vendor master data (Payment terms)
  • Identify opportunities for improvement
  • Utilize ARIBA to upload completed contracts and maintain sourcing projects

 

The Other Qualifications:
•    2 or more years of relevant experience
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Experience with Excel or other analytics-based software (e.g. Power BI) is preferred

  • SAP experience and an understanding of Accounts Payable functions is desirable
